The day passed by as normal. No one seemed affected by the fact they were wearing high heels and school was boring as it can get sometimes. Jon and Karyn made some laughs messing with Sarah's shoes, changing the heels height from something moderate to no less than 7 inches, making her walking almost on the tip of her toes.

Later that night, Karyn called Jon.

"Hey, what's up?" asked Jon over the phone.

"I was wondering if I could go to your place tomorrow morning. I think we should try another die once the effect of the shoes goes away" said Karyn.

"Sure, see you tomorrow then"

"Night!"

Jon hung up the phone and went to his bed. Absently, he reached for the shoes and pulled trying to take them off, but they didn't budge.

"Aw... I forgot.. Am I supposed to sleep with them on? Damn!" cursed Jim, lying down on the bed. Surprisingly, it was quite comfortable. "It must be wish Karyn made about being comfortable no matter what," thought Jon. Shruging, Jon fell asleep not much later.

The alarm clock was beeping loudly and Jon blindly stretched an arm, trying to turn it off, when a voice take him by surprise.

"Hey, wake up! We are going to be late!"

Startled, Jon turned around in his bed, only to see Karyn standing before him.

"Ow... Morning..." muttered Jon.

"Good morning to you too... nice shoes, by the way" chuckled Karyn.

Sitting up on the bed, Jon noticed Karyn was still wearing the sandals from the other day.

"Why are you still wearing them?" asked Jon, confused.

"Well, seems like the wish took "a day" too literaly. When I got up this morning I couldn't take them off and on the way here everyone was still wearing them, so I guess the duration of every dice throw are full 24 hours" explained Karyn.

"How many time is left?"

"It should be a matter of minutes now" Karyn replied.

"Dunno..." said Jon, and tugged at the shoes a couple of times. However, on the third try the heel just poped out of his foot.

"Time's up!" exclaimed Karyn with a grin. She opened her backpack and took out a pair of sandals, and proceeded to discard the heeled ones.

At the same time, Jon took his old sneakers from the floor and put them on.

"Ready?" asked Karyn.

"Sure, just wait till I grab my t-shirt" said Jon, standing up.

Just as he got up, he felt his height quickly shifting, and a familiar sensation of his feet arching. Caught by surprise, he watched Karyn gasp as she undergone a similar change.

Looking down, he saw what he feared. His shoes had gained a 3" heel, changing into some weird hybrid between sneakers and high heeled shoes. Looking at Karyn, he saw her looking at her new 4" heeled sandals.

"But.. how? The die roll effect was over!!" exclaimed Karyn, shocked.

"The wishes..." frowned Jon, "We didn't put any vinculation with the die roll in them, you just said all my shoes would gain 3 additional inches in the heel and I just wished yours would be 1 inch longer than any shoe I wear... Even if my sneakers hadn't change, your sandals would have gain 1 inch even then."

"You mean we are stuck like this?!" let out Karyn, still in shock.

"Damn! How could we have been that stupid?" said Jon, taking a step and falling flat onto the floor "And now I don't even know how to walk in these!"

Teetering on the high heels, Karyn helped Jon to get up and they sat on the bed. Jon picked up the stone from the box on his night table.

"We must fix it" said Jon with the stone in his hand.
