"Wait a minute," Jon said. "I made a wish that the dice would affect everyone in town. And this girl is in town. So shouldn't she be a vampire too?"
"What are you talking about?" his mom asked.
Jon took the stone out of his pocket and wished to know why the girl wasn't a vampire like the rest of the town.
After the stone glowed, he was given the information. Apparently, his mom had been travelling towards the outskirts of town when the die was thrown. This turned her into a vampire. She continued on her way until she saw this girl outside the city limits, grabbed her, and brought her back to the house. At least ten minutes had passed between the time the die was thrown and Jon's mom showed up at home with their "dinner".
Jon's mom stared at the stone. "What is that?"
