Jon really wanted to see the time-frozen world and didn't want to stick around his house, so he decided to go out. That meant awkwardly positioning himself around his sister to get out the door. Yes, it was possible to do, but he would rather just unfreeze time. Unfortunately, because of his blundering, that was no longer an option. Unless he wanted to wait around for another hour, which he didn't.
It was a tight squeeze, but he made it. However, he got a little closer to his sister than he ever wanted to. At least she would never know about it.
He walked down along the street and saw cars frozen in place on the street. Birds were suspended in the air. And in the park, a frisbee was being caught by a dog, which was suspended a few feet in the air, in mid-leap. And everything was completely silent. It was so eerie.
Jon looked down at the pocket watch and saw that he had only used up about ten minutes. That meant that he couldn't unfreeze time for another fifty minutes. What was he going to do for fifty minutes?
