Jon was standing over the cooker stirring the sauce for dinner; he had one hand on his hip as he did so. Jon was wearing the yellow blouse and black capris he had put on earlier but while in the kitchen he had added a pink flowery apron. Jon was so engrossed in preparing dinner that he didn't notice Karyn coming into the kitchen. Karyn came up behind Jon and wrapped her arms around his waist while leaning in to kiss Jon on the neck, Jon caught by surprise gasped and then put his hand to his mouth as he giggled. "Karyn, stop that!" he said playfully "sorry honey" Karyn replied smiling "do you need any help?" she asked "no thank you" Jon said "but you can set the table and then call the kids down." "Will do" Karyn confirmed as she started getting the table set.
Once everything was ready Karyn called the "kids" down; Joseph came down first Jon noticed that he crossed his legs under the table once he sat down, Sarah followed shortly after, bouncing down the stairs as she seemed to have a lot more energy than she did before. Jon laid down the dinner took off his apron and sat down. After dinner everyone got up to leave, Jon however stopped Joseph before he left "young lady" Jon said "you can help me clean-up" Joseph sighed but agreed to help anyway. Once the dishes were done Jon let Joseph go, Jon then headed into the lounge where Karyn was watching TV; he sat down beside her pulled up his legs underneath him and then snuggled up to Karyn.
Around 8pm Jon got up from the couch and headed upstairs poking his head into Sarah's room, "Sarah sweetie" he said "it's time for bed" "aww Mom!" Sarah whined, she had been playing with her toys again. "Now mister, it's a school night." Jon said a little sternly "fine" Sarah replied and started getting ready for bed, Jon did the same for Joseph and then headed back downstairs to join Karyn who had switched over to ESPN to watch some highlights.
Later that evening Jon was starting to get tired, he yawned putting his hand across his mouth as he did so "I think it's time for bed honey" he said to Karyn "you're right dear" she replied "I've got that big meeting tomorrow." They both headed upstairs got ready for bed and then climbed into bed together, Jon snuggled up to Karyn as he drifted off to sleep wondering what would happen tomorrow
