After performing a hypnotism show at the local school, Professor Guster, of the theater apartment pulled Dr. Mysterioso aside.
“You’re truly an incredible talent! Could I hire you for an additional job?”
“Do tell”
The next night, Dr. Mysterioso entered the theater area. With the spring play only two weeks away, these actors needed believable performances pulled out of them. “I hope this works. My reputation is on the line” Guster whispered.
Dr. Mysterioso took the stage as he looked on at the young actors and actresses sitting in the audience.
“As a fellow stage performer, I am so looking forward to your play. I am here to help you project stage presence onto an audience. Let’s start by getting relaxed." He took out his magic coin and chain and began to swing.
"Close your eyes and take some deep breaths. Feel your chest elevating as your lungs fill up with air. That’s very good.”
Once the actors were under, Dr. Mysterioso got to work.
“When you hear the word “action”, you will fully believe you are your character. Your current identity will slip away and you will act out your parts as if this was who you really are. And you will believe the rest of the cast to be their characters. When you hear the word “cut”, you will become yourself again completely unaware of your transformation. Do you understand?”
The cast nodded.
