The stranger smiled. It would be morning soon.
"One more thing," they said. "I wish that once anybody puts one of those heels on their feet, the shoe will become locked and impossible to remove until the wearer first makes a wish."
Finally satisfied, the stranger departed as quietly as they had arrived.
