Author's note: I really liked the original version of this piece, but there was one technical detail I want to 'fix'. Namely that if Zoe is the oldest kid, she'd get the first bedroom. I also wanted to expand the piece a bit.

"Did you bring it?" Stephanie asked. Zoe may have been older, but she was still a Goth girl and still had Goth friends. But she was no longer best friends with Athena DeVries, who was now at least two years younger than her.

No, now she was best friends with Stephanie Wright, who was the same age as Karyn and now ... Zoe. She was still friendly with Athena, but her attitude toward the freshman Goth was a bit different.

"Are you kidding?" Zoe responded. "Of course I did." She reached into her bag and pulled out what she thought was the wishing stone, but was actually the Age Swap stone.

After Jon got out of the bathroom, he headed back to his room. As he entered, he paused. Had he made a wrong turn, this looked like Zoe's room, not his. He looked closely. There was the tree outside the window. This was the right room, but the wrong stuff was in it?

Mikey passed by on the way to the shower and saw him through the open door. "Whatcha doing in Zoe's room?" he asked. "You know how much she hates that."

He breathed a sigh of relief. He hated been turned into a Goth. But somehow, Zoe had his room. He slipped into her room and found stuff more familiar to him. he tried to find the stone. It hadn't been on the dresser in Zoe's 'new' room where he'd left it, and it wasn't in here.

Did someone take it when he was in the bathroom? How could that be lucky? How had that backfired on him?

Thinking that it would be best if Karyn knew about the stone being missing, Jon gave her a call, dialing her number from memory. "Hello?" Karyn's voice said.

"Somebody took the wishing stone."

"What? Wishing stone? Who is this?"

"Jon."

"Jon who?" He dropped the phone. "Hello? If this is a prank call, it isn't very funny."

He picked the phone up. "Sorry, umm...wrong number." He hung it up. Not only did she not know about the wishing stone, she also had no idea who Jon was. He just knew that this had something to do with the stone, but he wasn't sure how...Maybe someone else had made a wish. But if they did, how did he remember something was wrong?

He suddenly noticed his reflection in the mirror. He hadn't noticed before, but he was younger, shorter, and...What did the stone do to him?
