"Did you bring it?" Stephanie asked.
"Are you kidding?" Zoe responded. "Of course I did." She reached into her bag and pulled out what she thought was the wishing stone, but was actually the Age Swap Stone. "I wouldn't keep something like this at home. Just think of all the wishes we could make."
"Can I make the first wish? Please?"
Zoe never knew Stephanie to be so desperate. But this was the stone they were talking about, so maybe it was justified.
"Okay," Zoe said, handing it over.
Stephanie smiled and clutched the stone.
"Oops," Zoe muttered. She had accidentally dropped her bag on the sidewalk and while she was in the process of picking it up, someone else walked by Stephanie as she made her wish. Stephanie would then swap ages with that person. But only Stephanie would notice it.
