Days passed on. Leo, Liam, Alphonse, and I were a group and we stayed together at all times. It was great for Alphonse as he was released from bread shuttle duty. He also grew in size. Finn, a boy with red hair and orange eyes and another Drak named Claude joined us. That put us at six members. Our rival's group was lead by a Drak named Calvin. He also had five members in the class to back him up. There was a storm brewing and I was not the only one that could feel it. The teacher held all twelve of us before class. "Tensions run high for teenage boys. Alphas, even more so. Since we can all see where this is going. We are going to have a battle simulation. If you have a name for your factions, you can tell me." I had an idea. "Hey, let's call ourselves the Pretty Boys." They all looked like I was insane, but they could not think of any names off the cuff. The teacher smirked and said "I guess It will be the Pretty Boys against Calvin's Group. We will have you face off against each other in three battle simulations."
I was excited at the news. "You will be using the Battle mecha simulator as well as the Elite mecha simulator. You also will be on the fields for a live spar. That should get it all out of your systems." she explained. We were then sent to our seats. The classes were pretty easy. I had the highest math scores. I was also very literate so it was easy. The tactics class was very interesting. When lunch came the teach stood in front of the class. "Before you all go off for lunch today, I am here to tell you we have a very interesting exhibition match. Calvin's Group is going to face off against the Pretty Boys." Leo and Liam facepalmed as they stood up with the others. "Everyone interested can follow me to the simulation theater." She then led everyone to the theater. Right next to it was a large room with large machines. "This is the simulation hall. What you experience in the world of the simulation will be projected on the screen for everyone to see." she explained. I walked to the large cockpit. "Are we really using these?" I asked with enthusiasm. She nodded. We all then changed into skin tight spandex flight suits. It was a black and dark gray suit, the colors of the nation.
The cockpit was exactly like what they showed in the textbooks. Alphonse also came up to inspect it. "I think we found our first event: Elite mecha. You can choose your team representative. Since there is no Omega or Switch, we will use an A.I with a synergy set to 75%." I looked at Alphonse. He looked back at me and nodded. Calvin laughed and said "Cute. No alphas on your side? I guess I was worried about the handicap for nothing. Let me guess: Alphonse is the Omega and Davie is going to play the savoir Alpha." I smirked as I stopped Alphonse from taking my place in the Omega's seat. There were a lot of gasps, even on my team. "What!? Alphonse has been training his ass off for this. I trust him to lead us off. I'll hold him steady." I said as I looked at Alphonse. He looked shocked, but he then took a deep breath and smiled. It was a nice look for him. He then looked confident as he stared at Calvin's Group before he got in the Alpha seat. "Wait on my signal. We still need to set Calvin's Group's representative with the A.I."
