As they continued their hike through the meadow, Andi found it easier and easier to move with her new female body. And she couldn't help but notice how real everything was. She knew it was a dream, but she could feel the wind on her skin, she could hear the birds chirping, and she could see the detail of each blade of grass. She had no idea that dreams could be so ... realistic. If she didn't know any better, she might think that she was awake.

"Uh, Christine?"

Her girlfriend (that sounded a little weird) kept walking without making any kind of indication that she had heard her.

"Christine?" Andi asked again, this time gently touching her arm.

She stopped and turned. "Were you talking to me?"

"Yes."

"Well, my name isn't Christine."

Andi was puzzled. "It isn't? What is it then?"

"It's Crissy. It's always been Crissy."

Andi never remembered Christine referring to herself as Crissy. But, of course, this was a dream. It wasn't real, right?

"Although, it is odd that you should mention that name. I've been having these weird dreams lately where I'm a girl named Christine. And I'm living a normal boring life in some house somewhere. And there's a boy there. He's kind of cute, but not really my type."

"What's his name?"

"Uh ..." She thought about it. "Andy, maybe? Hey, didn't you say that your name was Andi? What's the chance of that, huh?"

What was going on here? The dream version of Christine was dreaming about the awake version of Christine? A chill ran down Andi's spine, thinking about the possibility that this place was real and the life she thought was real was actually a dream. But that couldn't be, could it? When Andi first "arrived" here, she was a boy. Surely only something like a gender change could only happen in a dream, right?
