Tybalt looked like he was running from a ghost. We followed after him down a series of alleys until we reached a dead end. He looked around frantically for an escape, but there was none. Unless he was going to shift into a form that could fly that is. "Tybalt! What's wrong with you?" I asked. "Is there someone coming after you?" Reiner asked as he got closer. Tybalt looked down the alley and said "There was a really strong Master that broke into my room. I tried to fight him off, but he was just playing with me. It was too cramped to use my true form and I wasn't going to lose what I finally got." Elis looked confused. "If you were fighting someone, how did you get away without is noticing him follow us?" he asked. Tybalt shook his head. "No. You don't get it. He was tiring me out. You banging on the door startled him and he let me go. It was bad so I ran out of there as fast as I could. That's why we need to go somewhere far away from him before he gets a chance to attack us again." he explained. It sounded serious. I asked "What did the Master look like?"
He looked like he was about to tell me when he flinched and pointed behind us. "It's too late! He's here." he said frantically. I turned around and was shocked at what I saw. I would know that outfit anywhere. It was the uniform worn by the knights in the Order of Lancelot. Judging by the over abundance of gold plated armor and white trimmed clothing, it had to be someone at the very top of the order. The man looked at me blankly and said "Who the hell are you? Are you a Player or a Devil? I know all of my Sages and knights." I looked at him closer and backed up a step before leaning forward. I could not believe it. I said "No way. Are you really Lancelot!? The one and only!?" The three chimeras looked at him and growled. "What the hell is he doing here!? He's the sworn enemy of our creators! We have to kill him." Reiner said. I pushed Reiner back and said "Like hell you will! You don't get it, do you? He can kill us all with a finger." Lancelot gave a thin smile. "It seems you know me well enough already. You still haven't told me who you are yet? I am on a mission, so hurry up." he said.
I cleared my throat and said "I am Azil Divad. These are my companions: Reiner, Elis and Tybalt. We're sorry if we offended you, but we need to find the place we were trying to get to for our quest." Lancelot shook his head and said "If you are trying to lie, you better come up with something better. I already know what these three are, so don't take me for an idiot. They were created artificially by Devils. They were low tier so I sent the other paladin orders to handle it. It seems as though some of the chimeras they were making escaped and made their way here. I would have continue setting higher bounties and more quests to hunt them down and kill them, but something happened last night." I think I knew what he was talking about. "A Player was absorbed by one of them. Usually a death only lasts 15 minutes. After that, you can play again from a save point like nothing happened to them. This Player's avatar was corrupted and I had to figure out had happened from Sages and blog posts on forums. If they have advanced to this point, I can't let them go absorbing others." he explained.
Lancelot drew a great sword and looked at me. "I suggest you get lost if you don't want a permanent ban." I shook my head and said "Wait. We really are not Devils or anything. If anything, we want to join the Order of Lancelot. We would help you out and go on missions for you." He looked at me for a second before laughing and lowering his guard. None of us were foolish enough to make a move. When he was finished, he glared. "You're smarter than you look. Sorry, but it in the rules that you have to be Level 10 and do a quest for the order before you can get in. As for the chimeras, I'd have to make sure they were unable to corrupt avatar data." "How could you do that?" I asked. Lancelot put away his sword and walked up to me. "Inquisitive, aren't you. I like that. I'll give a one time boon. Don't tell anyone." he said as he laid a hand on my human stomach. I felt a painful burning and the scream I let out made the others terrified. When he was done, I fell to the ground. I had gained 10 levels in one go. That put me at Level 14. It was definitely a boon.
Reiner, Elis and Tybalt were concerned and called out to me. I struggled to my feet as Tybalt came to me. "What the hell did you do to them!?" he demanded. Lancelot, a powerful knight, snatched Tybalt and pinned him face first against the wall and held his arm behind his back. Tybalt tried tostruggle but it was useless. Tybalt was Level 27. "Stay back or I'll kill him." he said. I held Reiner and Elis back from trying to interfere. "He's too strong for any of us! We'll all die! Calm down or we're going to get killed." They both howled in desperation. Lancelot said "So your name is Tybalt? Nice name." "Don't fucking call me that, bastard! That's only the ones I care about can use that name!" Tybalt growled. Lancelot only roled his eyes. "So, the blue eye, ears and cock were stolen. I'm taking them back now." He said. The pinned chimeras thrashed about as hard as he could. "They're mine. I won't let anyone take them from me!" he spat. A yellow magic circle appeared on the wall in front of him. "You don't have a choice." Lancelot said to him.
Elis called out to Tybalt again and we looked on in horror. Tybalt began to scream in pain as his ears, eye and cock began to wiggle like it did the night before. "No! I won't let you!" He yelled as he fought against all the magic in the yellow circle. He was clearly in pain. After a minute of resistance, Lacelot blinked in surprise. "I didn't think you would be able to defend against the hacking. Your were made really well. You're still no match for me though." he said before the circle began to glow. Tybalt's screams grew louder and the eye and ear changed. Not only that, but he reverted to Level 26. He was back to his androgynous, brown eyed self. The circle flashed and he screamed again as he was unable to resist. He took the woman's shape and then the centaur form. The circle faded as Lancelot was knocked of balance by the horse half. "You really are a glutton for absorbing things." he remarked as Tybalt slid down the wall. "Damn you!" Tybalt said trembling. "I'll kill you for this! No one makes me feel this way and gets away with it!" he hissed.
