Karyn walked through the hall. Karyn had ditched Sarah and went around looking for her new peers...the beautiful people.
She was sorely disappointed. She spotted Tiffany Sanders walking through the hall, her nose in a book, seemingly not watching where she was going.
Finally, she spotted Steve "The Stud" Farber checking her out. At least that was normal. She knew he was a snake, but one she could handle. She approached him. "Hey, Steve," she said.
"Karyn," he said. "You look hot today. How about you and I..?" The bell rang, it seemed even louder than before. Karyn blinked, losing her train of thought.
"How about you get to class before your teacher marks you late?" Steve said, looking her in the eye, instead of somewhere lower. "You can ask me the queston again later. I have class too." He strolled down the hall purposefully.
Karyn blinked again. The bell, she thought. This had something to do with the bell. Had Jon wished that hearing it would make people act strangely? She had to get the stone away from him and put things the way they should be.
