Alex smiled happily at her. "Thank you mommy!" He hugged and kissed her. "You look beautiful as well."
Rebecca laughed. "Aw, thank you honey. Now come on. Let's go and have breakfast. We both have a busy day today."
Alex nodded as he took his mother's hand and skipped along to the kitchen.
"Are you excited about your new school?"
"Yes, Mommy...are you going to introduce me to everyone?"
"Of course, sweetie. I want them to be nice to you. And people listen to me," she said.
Alex nodded.
"After that, I have a full day at work, but I will pick you up after school," she promised. "I want you to make friends. Maybe that nice Mikey Gibson..." she suggested.
"I'll try, Mommy," he said.
