I watched as Kody got back to his feet and got into a fighting stance. There was no chance of him winning at that point. I had personally seen enough. I stepped forward and drew my javelins. The others saw me and followed suit. We fired our arrows, javelins, throwing axes and knives, and long ranged spells at the monster. It seemed to be resistant to magic, but the weapons worked. All together, we were able to kill it before it could launch any real counterattack. The officer and Kody just looked on as we did it. Kody went over to confirm the kill and retrieve his gun. He then turned to us. "Thanks. I was a goner. You don't have to worry about my report." he said. The adult police officer just opened the back of the paddy wagon and we instead went to collect our ammunition. After that, we climbed in as Kody got dressed again. "Are you certain that the xenomorphs shouldn't be cuffed, sergeant?" the officer asked as they stood in front of us. "Officer Issac. It's fine. Let's drive back to base." Kody said calmly. As he walked away, Kody stuck his tongue out at him. He closed up and we were on our way.
The ride to the base was really boring. There were no windows and all we could do is sit across from each other. "Those weapons you have are pretty strong. Carter was in Form 2 and he couldn't break a sword. Can you show me one of those weapons?" Kody asked through the reinforced bulletproof glass. "Only if you guys give us a gun or two." one of the Players said. Kody leaned back as he thought about it. He placed a finger on his chin as he hummed in thought. "Hmm. I don't think I can do that. I'm sorry." he said at last. "Maybe you should keep the weapons away from them." Officer Isaac said. We then continued travelling down the road. When we got to the MPAX office, they got out and opened the back. "Okay. You guys can follow me. Since you're not being cuffed right now, you have to listen to me reaaally closely." he stressed to us. We all mostly just nodded or shrugged. The police officers and other agents were very nervous. If anyone tried to approach, Kody would jump in the way and pull a rank on them or try to butter them up. It seemed to work for the most part because he was energetic.
Eventually, we made our way to the third floor. We had to take the stairs. Kody rushed to the door and gestured at it. He smiled wide. "This is the MPAX agent's lounge. It is where we can relax when not deployed to fight or go out somewhere. This is where all the guys with the UNS generators are, so don't make any sudden movements. I cannot protect you. I'm all tapped out for the day." he told us as he opened the door. There were about a dozen or so agents lounging around. They instantly all jumped to readiness. Some even reached to their UNS generator. Koby got in the way and said "Don't attack! These are the xenomorphs from the forest beach. I am vouching for them." Carter approached and said "Oh hell no!! You can't bring them up here. They aren't even cuffed! What the hell happened to the plan!?" Alex did his best to hold him back. "There's too many to fight right now. We can just wait to see what they do." he said. "Kody! Are you okay?" a younger boy that had the same shade of red hair I recognized Kody had. They had blue eyes, but different shades. It was clear that they were siblings.
Seeing Kody hug his brother made my heart melt a bit. "These xenomorphs saved my life. A C-class Tentaman appeared and they helped me kill it after I ran out of time for my Form 2." The others took notice. Another boy came up and said "You sure it was a C-class, Kody? You're not fibbing to cover your ass, right!?" he grilled Kody and he leaned into Kody's personal space. Kody just smiled and said "Levi, of course I did. I need to write my report, so these xenomorphs have to wait somewhere. I wanted to keep an eye on them." Levi crossed his arms and said "During our meeting, we said that they would be detained in the basement until we figured out how to get rid of them." Kody said "They haven't done anything wrong yet and I owe them my life. Excuse me." he said as he walked around him. He then turned to his brother. "Come on over here, Darcy." he called. Darcy frowned and followed after him. When they were gone, we were left in the lion's den. "We're putting all of them in the basement now, right?" Carter said. Levi agreed. "Hell no! We're staying here." the Crystal Elf snapped and sat down.
