Dull light shone, and Arbar appeared on his knees next to Doran. "It felt really good. You must have felt the same way. I know that you'll be a fine spouse for me. Please choose me, sir." Doran looked really unsteady. He slowly crouched down until he could sit on the ground. He was breathing quite heavily. "It was certainly unlike anything that I've ever felt before. I can't say that I enjoyed it, but I can tell that you are a good person as well somehow." It was then that Firtalon said "How is this possible!? He did not Bond with me." "You tried to absorb him into yourself. Your brother did the opposite. Doran then gave him control. I guess that Humans can absorb Likins, but not the other way around." I explained. "That settles it. My second son, Arbar will marry Sir Doran to strengthen the bonds between us and solidify this alliance." the chief said. I then looked at Father Conrad. "I guess then that it is only fair that you three learn the faith from our spiritual leader, Father Conrad. That way you can marry in the faith of the Church of the Sky." Father Conrad clapped and said "Quite right. I will teach you."

Yawning, Sir Doran said "Excuse me. The Bonding took much more from me than I was expecting. I will be retiring to my tent for the night." "You've more than earned all your rest. Sweet dreams." I said. He then picked himself up and left without another word. Still taciturn and sullen to the end. The three villagers then took their leave. All of us were left unsure of what to do next. Sir Gifford looked at the rest of us in the tent. "I think this settles the decision for now. We will make the preparations necessary to move to the village and begin building there. Once we have established our church, we can think on conquering land." he said. That was certainly reasonable. When we were in a position to do something, that would be when we would strike. 25% of the village was gone. It allowed us to move in much easier as we began to build. The first homes were for the pilgrims. The hovels that were already there were for the leaders to have. The rest of the villagers split apart from the chief and his children. That allowed them to continue plowing the fields for grains and vegetables. We helped around too.

Zipping around the village and building the area into a small town was no easy feat. We had to repel several waves of Igniso soldiers. Normally, I would try to use them to farm the peasants into bosses. It was not going to work out. These were peasants against trained soldiers. Even if a Bond worked, the soldiers would just take over. The better play would be to slowly train them up during the various training sessions of the different platoons. Doing that would obviously take time. However, there really was no reason to do things strictly by the book. I had a pair of Devils on our side. I told them to go around and strengthen the peasants 5 levels at a time every in-game week or so. By the time the basic wooden structure of the church was built two months later, they were around level 40-50. Every level corresponded to five ticks on the RGB color scale. Their hair and eyes all became brighter until they were lime green. Their skin was still inky black. The Players certainly noticed, but most of them did not stick around. It was a new continent and they were Players. Of course they would leave the group.
