As expected, it came out looking marvelous. He lifted it up for all of us to see. We marveled at the large blade etched along the length with a thorn pattern. The hilt was a gold and steel. "One day you'll all be able to make one of these yourselves. This is what you have to look forward." our master said with pride in his voice. We nodded at him. He then placed it on the rack behind the counter to boost interest in the workshop until the customer came to pay for his new masterwork weapon. We then all went back to our work. The customer in question was the knight that tried to encroach on my knightdom. We had to bow to him as he approached. "I'm here for the greatsword that I ordered." he said as he stood in front of the counter. Our master cleared his throat as he stood straighter than normal. He was in professional mod. "Yes. This blade over the counter is yours. Do you have the money?" he asked as he reached for it. The knight drew a blade and held it against his neck. "What a foolish question to ask me, snow-skin!? Of course I have the money. Give me what is mine." he whispered darkly.

Jamming a sharp blade at someone's neck was a very hostile action. The master went still. Azgath and Dalmar both growled and bared their fangs. I quietly moved over to Dalmar and put an arm ahead of him. He blinked and a second passed before he looked down. "You better not think I'll back down because he is a knight." he said. If I did not do something, they were going to do something really dumb. "He is not my protector either. Just let him get his weapon and leave." I hissed. He just glared as our master gave him the greatsword. A servant placed a chest full of gold pieces on the counter. The knight took a few practice swings with the blade. He was able to easily balance and swing the huge sword with only 1 arm. That was a testament to his great strength. "I think... that this is a pretty good blade. Maybe one day, one of our own demons can make a better one." he said. "Wine eye." was what Azgath muttered under his breath. Unfortunately for him, the knight heard him. He extended the blade and pointed it at him. "Come here, whelp. You obviously have something to say." he said.

Keeping Dalmar from lunging at them, I moved forward in his place. "My lord, I'm sure you have misheard him. He said 'Fine dye.' We had all been talking about going to the market for supplies." I said. The knight glared at me. I was sure that there was no way to win. "Do you think I'm a fool, boy!?" he asked menacingly. His arm turned the blade towards me. "No, sir. I would never try to fool you. That is why I can stand and tell you the truth." I said. The knight looked at me for a moment and lowered the blade. He said "You are a strange one to be sure. I guess you need to live if we want our kind to become the masters of the guilds here." He then turned and left. The servant followed him out. We waited for a full moment before we relaxed. "Thank you, Uraris." our master said, turning to me. He had a grim look on his face. Azgath stomped his foot in frustration. "Don't give him any credit! He's a wine eye too!" he shouted. The master walked over to him and slapped him in the face hard. "Uraris just saved your life. Shut up for today. Did you think we could have saved you from the knight?"

Looking at me, Azgath just whimpered weakly before storming off to get back to work. "His sister was claimed and killed during the pillages." was all the taciturn master said before he went to the big stool at the counter. Sitting down, he looked towards the door. The directive to get back to work was implicit. Dalmar and I went to work on smelting the iron ores that we had in the back. Dalmar stoked the fire in the smelter and I did the minigames to make the ingots. "You seem to be really into rescuing us." he said as I placed an ingot on the table. I looked at him and said "I want my guildmates to be safe. Is that so wrong?" He smirked and said "Don't be surprised if you go and become an enemy to both sides. Most of us won't accept you no matter what you do." I smirked back at him. "Only most? Are you the exception?" I asked. He then crossed his arms. "Depends on whether I want to kill you that day or not." he said seriously. I said "Well, I'll make sure to buy you some flowers and candy that day." He scoffed and turned his head back to the smelter. We got back to work. We left soon after.
