Suddenly, Linda felt a presence in the hallway and turned around. A small boy was standing behind her. In the dim light (provided by a hallway nightlight), the boy looked almost exactly like Mikey, her ten-year old son, but there was something different about him. And after the boy spoke, she realized what it was.
"Mom? What's wrong?" the boy asked.
Linda's eyes went wide. It was Jon ... as he was seven years ago.
