Charlie wasn't an uncaring person. He knew that that guy's wife needed her husband and not Charlie, so he grabbed the hand of the nearest person to him, which ended up being a baby in a stroller.
After he hopped bodies, Charlie watched as the cop and the guy ran down the street in search of his wife. Problem solved.
"Tommy, honey," a woman said, from behind him. "Are you comfy enough?"
Charlie looked down at himself. He had chosen a body at random. He had no idea he had picked a baby. How was he supposed to hop bodies again? He could barely even move around.
