What if they found him? What would they do to him?
Just as he had these thoughts, he felt someone (or something) grab him from behind. Then a hand was placed over his mouth, making sure the he didn't make a sound.
The two creatures crept closer, but then they moved away, apparently not noticing that Charlie was there. When they were gone, whoever or whatever had grabbed him let him go.
Charlie slowly turned around, not sure of what he'd find. But he was relieved when he saw that it was just a normal human. Well, except for the animal skin clothes, that was.
"Who are you?" Charlie asked.
"I ... Day ... viss," the man said. He clearly had trouble speaking, although Charlie had no idea why.
"Davis?" Charlie asked.
The man nodded.
"What were those things?" he asked the man.
"They ... hunt ... I."
"They hunt you?"
The man nodded.
Why would humans be hunted? What kind of place was this?
"Where am I? What is this place?" Charlie asked.
"Come," he said, waving him to go with him.
Seeing as though Charlie didn't really have anything else to do, he went with him.
