It was something that, as a PEP unit, he could not totally ignore. I walked behind him and wrapped my arms around him. My hand slid to his inner right thigh as I said "If you joined us, you could have one of your own. So, how about it!? A nice X-frame would look nice for you." Nathan snapped out of it and said "Get off me. I'm not selling my ass for an X-frame." I smirked and backed off. "Follow me to the trading area." Reluctantly, he followed behind me. I asked him how much money he had. He only had a measly 14 bucks on him. I said "Give me $13 now and I'll give you the base blueprints for the XF-10F." He scoffed as he narrowed his eyes. "What the hell are you playing at!? Just because you're human, that doesn't give you the right to treat all these X-frames like trash!" he snapped bitterly. I raised my hands defensively. "I just wanted to give you a down payment. I want PEP units to infiltrate the police station. If you do it for me instead of tucking your tail between your legs with Mandy, I'll give you another piece after a month." Nathan gave the money. I gave him the blueprint.

Now that Nathan had it, he asked me "So, that's it? I just walk out of here with this blueprint. Then, after a month, I get the blueprint for another part?" "Yeah. What's it matter to a human like me? In a small time like this, even if the transmission hub does give you good missions as a cop, you'll never gather the money to actually pay for the materials. If you are not in the clan, that means you have to store everything somewhere the human authorities won't find it. Then you need to smuggle of that crap over to the Foundry to build it. Don't get me started on how you'll actually store it in a random apartment." I explained. Nathan just glared at me. "You think that's going to stop me. I'll never work with a human." I shrugged. "If that's the case, I can't change your mind. But I don't give softballs twice. You want to join later, and you'll have to do some troublesome things." I warned. He rolled his eyes and turned to leave. I followed him to the Main Hall. Sunny and Lucy. He gave them the typical disgusted look and berating. I got between them and told him what happened. It pissed him off.

If he was angry before, he was murderous now. He swept my legs and stomped on my chest. "You have one chance before I crush your ribcage." he told me. I nodded at him. I was strong enough to move his leg. I was not going to tell him that though. Nathan bent down to get a closer look at my face and said "What are you even doing here? How are you able to modify PEP units?" I just told him. He did not believe me, but Sunny and Lucy just confirmed it for me. That upset him. "Impossible. A human can't breed better offspring than 2 PEP units. PEA units have to be better than half breeds!" he shouted. I moved his leg and rolled away from him. That surprised him so much he was not able to recapture me. I clapped my hands together and said "It's time to go now Nathan. You've had your fun." We walked him to the elevator and went up with him. From there, he went back to the others. It was not surprising he would pull Mandy to the side and talk to them. Rosalyn, Cecil, Erin and Finian needed their own X-frames. First, they needed to infiltrate the police. I gave them all apartments.

Only with a legitimate address could they apply to be police officers. With the crazy amount of casualties none of the residents wanted to be part of the department. Their programming might not make them self-aware, but they were not suicidal. However, the town needed cops. We were using cops from the next town over. Like I thought, when they went down to the station, they were all accepted on the spot. The mayor even gave a statement calling them heroes. With that heartfelt plea to all the people of Dwan Town, there were a few young men and women that also wanted to serve. The cops from the other town were happy to return to their own community. No one here wanted to be in the crosshairs when the next inevitable fight between police and PEP units or their enemies occurred. Both Nathan and Mandy refused to join the clan and said they would move out of the apartments as soon as they could afford to. Erin and Finian were given the police outfits and the standard equipment. Rosalyn and Cecil were not bound by the job, so they were free to go design their X-frames.
