"... but I think it might be a good idea to have a personal assistant," Rachel finished. "If I'm going to have such a high-standing position in Robert's company, then I think I should have someone to assist me. So what do you say? Would you like to be my personal assistant?" the well-dressed black woman asked Margaret.
The maid, however, didn't seem as pleased with the idea as Rachel did. She grew angry and said "Of course. I'd love to assist you any way I can." Why did she say that?
"I knew you'd come around," Rachel said, with a smile.
Margaret wasn't sure, but she could have sworn she saw something in Rachel hand. Like a crystal or a gem or something? Margaret wasn't one to believe in magic, but after what she had seen and experienced these last few minutes, she began to wonder if maybe that was how this woman was doing all of this. Maybe if she could get her hands on that crystal ...
Her thoughts were diverted when she found herself walking out of the room. She thought that maybe the woman was talking to her, but her mind was so focused on that crystal that she didn't hear what she said. She tried desperately to stop herself from walking, but it was like her body had a mind of its own.
