Instead, Zoe was in someone else's bedroom. And whoever it was, they definitely were not a Goth.
It looked to be a jock's room. There was an exercise mat and other exercise things. The walls had pictures of female athletes. Clearly a female athlete lived here.
She went to the mirror. It was her...but not her. She wasn't a Goth, certainly. Her natural light brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail. She was well-toned and muscular. It was odd to see herself like this.
There was a shelf filled with trophies above the desk. Soccer trophies. She frowned. Did her school even have a girl's soccer team? She'd never been into that sort of thing.
She found pictures of her pinned to a bulletin board. Her and strangers. One appeared to be of a soccer team. She squinted at it. Some of the faces looked familiar to her.
"Zoe," a strange voice from outside the door said. "Are you up yet? You don't want to be late for school."
