As Jon tried to process the changes in reality, he noticed the sky returning to its original color. It seemed he was stuck this way until further notice.
It was strange, but when he looked out the window, he saw the sky change from orange to its normal color. That at least explained why he turned into a girl as well as swapping roles with his sister. But in the story he read, the colored skies did not happen so close together. There were usually several minutes or even hours between color changes. This might have made things more difficult for him. He expected to have time to explore every new reality, before another one was created.
He sat on his bed and looked out the window. The sun was going down. It would be dark soon.
