The clicking of Biff's heels down the hallway made it hard for Jon to think straight. Normally Jon would be getting a severe wedgie if he'd run into Biff like that. Now he was being... nice.

"It's not like you to skip class, Jon," he said. "You're one of my best students." As weird as this was, Jon knew he still had to get the stone back. He tried to compose himself.

"I'm sorry Bi- er, Ms. Reynolds. I just... I lost something. It was a gift from my late grandfather, and I was trying to find it." They stopped walking. Biff looked at Jon, genuinely concerned.

"Oh, Jon. I'm sorry. I know those things can have sentimental value. What was it, if you don't mind me asking?"

Jon was hesitant to talk about the stone. There was no way he could trust Biff to find it. But, he supposed, he could probably trust Ms. Reynolds.

"It was a stone. My Grandpa was an archaeologist, he sent it to me from South America."

Biff nodded, "Well, have you checked the lost and found?"

"No. I think... I think someone else might have it."

"So you think someone stole it? Why?" Biff said as he smoothed the front of his skirt.

"Just a hunch, I guess you could say."

"Well, listen," Biff said with a caring tone, "I'll let you go back to class, just this once, and I'll keep an eye out for your stone. But you have to promise not to be sneaking out of class again. Got it?"

"Sure," Jon said. With that, Biff walked away. Jon couldn't help but stare, watching Biff walk like a natural in high heels as he entered Ms. Reynolds' usual classroom with a smile.

Jon turned back towards his classroom, hoping not to run into any more weirdness before finding the stone...
