"Zoe," a strange voice from outside the door said. "Are you up yet? You don't want to be late for school."
She opened the door. A strange woman was standing there. "You are a sleepyhead this morning, aren't you?" She said. "Well, get to the shower. Oh, and your father said before he left he isn't sure if he can get to your game tonight, but he wanted you to win one for him."
Was this supposed to be her mother? What the fuck was going on? She headed to find the shower. She needed to get to school...assuming she was even going to the same school and hadn't been transported to another town, and find Athena. This reeked of magic. Until then, she'd have to play along
She wished she could just call her, but her number was in Zoe's phone and she didn't know it by heart. And 'Soccer Girl Zoe' didn't seem to be the type who had Goth friends.
