Jon's mother (Jane) was walking through the upstairs hall towards the master bedroom when she spotted something made of glass catching the light from the hallway ceiling light.
She made a detour and walked into the bathroom. After turning on the light, she realized that what had caught her attention was a perfume bottle. She picked it up and looked at it. It was called SEDUCTION. Must be Zoe's, she thought. It kind of pleased her to know that Zoe was actually interested in wearing perfume. Maybe her Goth phase was finally coming to an end.
Wondering what it smelled like, she sprayed some of it on her wrist and smelled it. She was puzzled when she didn't smell anything at all. "That's strange."
She just shrugged, not even realizing the magnitude of what she had just done, then put the bottle back next to the sink. Then she headed out of the bathroom and back on her path to the master bedroom. She still had to get ready for work. She worked as a secretary at a law office downtown, so she didn't have a very long commute. She was thinking of stopping by a local convenience store on the way there, if she had enough time. If not, she'd just do it after work.
